We all know by now, losing track of time seems to be a common theme this time of year. With a busy July behind us and full steam ahead into August, there’s no sign of slowing down at the Hollinger.
Before looking too far ahead let’s take a look at how August seemed to show up unexpectedly, yet again.
July 5th: We hosted our Senior Mens Field Day with a field of 52 golfers. With thunderstorm winds looming, golfers endured tough winds throughout a competitive day of golf. You can view results HERE.
July 5th-8th: The Hollinger welcomed 30+ juniors for our annual 4-day Junior Camp which gave them the opportunity to learn, play and interact through a week of activities, games and an on-course experience to finish camp off.
July 23rd-25th: Arguably the most anticipated tournament in Northern Ontario, the 30th Annual Molson Lever Sullivan Tournament did not disappoint. A total of 214 golfers braced the elements and enjoyed a weekend of competitive golf with Jean Belliveau & Mike Bilodeau capturing their 2nd Lever Sullivan Title with a final score of 126, beating out C. Cooke and J. Merenda by 2 strokes. You can view the tournament results HERE
July 27th Ladies Night: The Hollinger welcomed it’s biggest Ladies Night of the year with 92 women enjoying a night of fun. While 92 may seem record breaking, this is in fact nothing new for the ladies. Year after year, their support and enthusiasm continues to fuel fun-filled nights as we continue to develop new ways of giving golfers of any skill the opportunity to come out and enjoy a night at the Hollinger.
July 29th ‘Hollinger After Dark’ Mens Night: Hollinger’s first ever ‘Hollinger After Dark’ welcomed a Hollinger record 100 men for Mens Night. After a cool night of golf, golfers warmed up under the tent with Paul Sebalj providing the entertainment all night long. A big thank you to the night’s sponsors Northern Fencing, Xtreme Post and Tisdale Mechanical Contracting for their support and allowing us to provide a safe and fun environment for golfers and the public to enjoy. Also thank you to Timmins Financial, MSN Contracting, Eclipse Financial, Full Beard Brewing Co. for their support throughout the night as well. Non-perishable food items were collected throughout the night in support of the Timmins Food Bank and South Porcupine Food Bank.
July 31st-August 1st: Our Annual HGC Mixed Tournament took place this past weekend with a full field of 100 golfers putting their skills and relationships to the test. Jokes aside, our Annual HGC Mixed Tournament continues to be a well-sought after tournament in Northern Ontario. Congratulations to this years champions Cory & Britney Hofferd with a final score of 125.
