The Hollinger Golf Club ownership and staff teamed up with the Timmins YMCA this weekend to organize a very successful fundraiser for the Timmins Strong Kids Campaign. Over $20,000. was raised by the 7th Annual HGC Anniversary Mixed Tournament.
“A combination of a beautiful weekend and generous sponsors contributed to the success of the tournament”, declared Wayne Bozzer ( CEO, Timmins Family YMCA). 50 teams participated in the event with teams representing Timmins, Hearst, Kapuskasing, Smooth Rock Falls, Cochrane and Toronto.
Mark Joly and Bobbie Foley, on the strength of an opening round 62, were declared Tournament Champions with a 2 day total of 129. They edged out the teams of Andre Robichaud/Melody Genier of Kapuskasing (2nd place) and Jason Batise/Lily Batise from Timmins (3rd place). All played identical two day totals of 129.
